Goin Fishin

I walk towards the lake whistling happily while bouncing my fishing rod against my shoulder. It's been awhile since I last went and the carnivorous Pokemon back home are starting to complain. Teal is sitting on my head as usual and wearing one of those fisherman type bucket hats. My Poochyena and Shinx walk beside me and look around nervously. Despite being a dark type, Parvati can't stand creepy places like this. Shinka frowns as much as a Shinx can frown and looks up at me. [translated from Pokemon]"I don't think this is the type of place to go fishing boss..." I wave off Shinka's concerns. "What're you talkin bout? The place looks legit ta me. Got water. Most likely got fish. We're good~." I plop down at the edge of the lake and begin setting up the rod before casting it. Parvati sits down next to me and watches the water warily while Shinka acts as a guard.

I start to drift off after fishing for so long with no results. Parvati growls quietly and nudges me with a paw. "Huh...? Oh. Sorry. This place is making me sleepy..." Suddenly an idea comes to me. "Hmm...Maybe we should try a different approach." Shinka and Parvati share a look before looking at me in confusion. "Maybe we should go into the water and catch em there instead of waiting for them to come to us." Parvati looks at me like I'm crazy and Shinka looks at me like I'm stupid. "Yes. Let me, an electric type, jump in the water." I give her a 'look' before gently thwacking her on the head. "You don't have to go in genius. You can wait right here while Parvati and I handle business." Before the Poochyena gets a chance to resist, I grab her and hop in the water. I create a bubble of air around us as we swim towards the bottom of the lake in search of game.

Fog begins to build around the shore and on the surface of the water, the depts of the Still Lake getting slightly darker, and somewhat more cold, if anyone could notice the slight changes...

Shinka watches the fog roll in and her senses tell her to get heck outta there. She peers down into the lake, but cannot see either Sadira or Parvati. She sends out a bit of electricity above the lake like a flare in hopes they would see it.

Beneath the water, I continue to look around for fish or something, not noticing the burst of light near the surface. Parvati shudders, knowing something isn't right. I look over at her with a questioning look and notice Bennu-sama's fire growing slightly. I stop swimming and make a motion for Parvati to stop as well. "Aa...Maybe you should go back to the surface and wait with Shinka and Tealy. We're getting pretty deep and who knows what might be down there." The Poochyena nods vehemently. I nod and warp her back to the surface. Instead of going with her though, I stay underwater and continue looking around.

Shinka jumps in surprise as Parvati suddenly appears next to her. Teal wakes up, having fallen off my head a few minutes after fishing, and looks around in confusion. "Wah! Don't do that!" "It's not my fault! Sadira sent me up here! "So...she's down there...alone?" Parvati nods and they both gaze over the water. Teal moves over to join them, looking scared. Shinka pats her head comfortingly as they wait.

A large deep sea-looking fish would appear out of seeming nowhere. It looked like a giant angler fish, but without the light thing on its head. It swam quickly, straight towards Sadira, mouth open to swallow her whole.

My eyes widen and I use wind energy as a boost to my kicks while I swim out of the beast's way. I quickly use Hangetsu no Goudou and go to stage 2 of a fish transformation which would make me look similar to a mermaid with the tail and gills. Of course, the air bubble around me disappears now that it's no longer needed and I get ready for the fish should it come back around.
