Q: What abilities or weapons will we be able to add or expand on?

I was typing out a chunk of my Philosophy notes from this past semester, cause I was trying to explain/ find a way around the argument. I tend to agree with SD, and was trying to figure out the question of minds:

Is the mind a physical thing? If not, where is it? How does it get my body to do things? If so, what are beliefs, emotions, etc? How can I know you have a mind?

Substance Duelism (SD) = the belief that minds are separate from bodies

(1) If I can clearly and distinctly conceive of something as possible, then it is possible.
(2) I can clearly and distinctly conceive of my mind existing without my body
(3) Therefore, it is possible my mind exists without my body
(4) If x and y are identical, they will have all of the same properties
(5) It is possible my mind (x) exists without my body (y)
If it is possible for x to exist without y, they arent identical
(7) Therefore, my mind isnt identical to my body

Well, it's safe to say this substantially jumbled my brain. 8D

I'm at a stage of life where I'm very... indecisive about what I'd like to believe in, but SD does seem to be something ideally me.

I think a mind may be a sort of... spiritual existence. A independent higher power for each different person of sorts, which allows emotions, thoughts, and beliefs to be different? xD I don't think that made sense. I'm going to be stuck dwelling on this for a whiiiile.

Yep, me toooo. Im determined to somehow find a way around that argument, cause I like SD.
