Ranks 102: Anime Examples

There still seems to be a little discrepancy towards what the ranks mean as far as what your characters can and cannot do with whatever abilities they have. So, here's a rundown of all the ranks, with several examples from popular Anime. Others are free to suggest other characters from series that I'm not familiar with.

Yamchas was a bad example there. One he cam move so fast a human eye cant see him. 2 he has full manipulation over all energy, and 3 he is from draginball z. HErcule as welll. he can see goku fighting cell when cell and goku are moving as fast as light. that wouldent make him such a low character despite looking so week in the show.

(youve got here me the General an avid know it all about dragonball and dragonball z sorry though)

and light yagami is a human with a note book from the 16 episodes ive seen. Without that boo he's nothing.

The Death Note is just another weapon to use. Light Yagami is an average human, with superb intellect and in posession of but a single weapon. With what limited resources he had and how much influence he had on the world, he deserves nothing less than 4th Rank.

Im sorry hisagi should not be no damn forth rank. He pwned his own captain for crying out loud

I had a problem too but this is for referance doesnt mean it has to be accurate. and yamcha could kick all thier asses. first he goes mach 1 and then he saps the energy fro,m the area then his wolf fang fists someone or something

Hey, Hisagi's my favorite character out of the entire series. He beat Tousen because of his "blindness" after being able to see, not to mention already getting severely hurt by Komamura. Hisagi's kill was the finishing blow after cooperation and other circumstances.

And yeah, I'm just making a point is all. Hisagi is the model Lieutenant, and Lieutenants usually stand at 4th Rank.

so if he had kakashi as a fourth rank you wouldnt be upset about it?

Oh stop. Kakashi's a character that saw overall growth as the series progressed, like most of the Naruto characters except the ones that died.

Abari: No I wouldn't...Like I said, Skye's just making a point with this....its nothing technical...So I wouldn't have said anything...

a simpler way of giving examples is by title. for example

rank 7: is the novice, the trainee just learning the ways of combat in the area

rank 6: is the apprentice getting a grip on the basics but still not near the complex tactics of combat

rank 5: is the now full blood warrior who has learnt all basics and now can do a few complex tactics but not many

rank 4 is the seasoned warrior who has seen many battles and as a result knows much more complex tactics

rank 3: is the master's second best who often fights with complex tactics and skill

rank 2: is the masters absolute best who often ises many upon many complex tactics outsmarting the opponent of a lower rank many times

and rank 1: is obviously the master whom is best of the best only opposed by those of the master's skill level

See I tried that language for each rank before, and certain people still didn't get it. So, I made this to compliment it.

well good idea but anime fans usually if they are the egotistical type of anime fan they think that the anime character they love will pwn everyone despite logic.....if it even exists in anime that is

i like those now i have clearrerrrr idea of ranks... i think if fits perfect all the chars...

Yamcha - if it was his DRAGON BALL time i would disagree but its the dbz one meaning hes gotten older and hes not the brightest char ether in the show.

Shuuhei Hisagi - his ranks fine he only killed his captain cuase he found a blind spot and used that avatage.
