Lazing Around

Deciding to keep my exploration of this place close to the desert, I make my way to the lake. I travel by foot instead of box in order to see everything and the scenery makes the aching in my paws well worth it. I arrive at the lake and stretch out as I look around. "It's like an oasis or somethin~." I whistle happily as I plop down on the shore and pull a fishing rod out of my bag. I prepare the hook before tossing the line out into the water. I don't care whether or not something bites since I'm not that big on fish to begin with, it's just something about fishing that really relaxes me. I continue whistling as I look out over the water.

The hook catches on something, feeling quite big and forceful, seeming to try and pull Sadira entirely into the water itself. The creature doesn't let go and seems to want to go deeper with the hook securely attached to it. If Sadira didn't do something quick, she'd either get very wet or be out of a fishing rod..

"Ack~!" I pull back on the rod, trying to reel the thing in. "I refuse to lose to a fish!" Even as I say that though, I'm being pulled closer towards the water and with my current skills in the water, that would be very bad. If I let go, I could avoid that, but no way I'm gonna let some fish take my rod. On that note, I activate my clan's trait and decide to deal with this underwater. "Hangetsu no Goudou: Fish Style 'Ugh...' Stage 1!" As I speak, my wolf features fade away, my legs become a fish tail, and gills appear on my neck. I hold on tightly to my fishing pole and allow the creature to pull me under.

As she's pulled, the creature gleefully dives straight down into the golden waters, but then realizes something's being dragged with it after Sadira splashes into the water. Annoyed at this, the creature swims back towards her and becomes fully visible now.

It's something like a sea dragon, with yellow scales and a long, snake-like body and white fins on its sides like oars on a viking's ship. Yes, it was very large, and very pissed, its mouth gaping open in an underwater, fish-dragon-like roar. One would even wonder how an ordinary fishing rod got stuck to this beast in the first place...

I cock my fist back, ready to knock the daylight outta whatever fish just pulled me under, but I stop mid-punch and my eyes widen in surprise at the creature before me. "Oh em gee..." Being a landwalker, and occasionally sky, this was not the right place for me to do battle with a monster like this. I laugh sheepishly and wave at the creature. [Er...Hello there~! I see you've taken a liking to the bait on my rod. How bout this, you let me go and I'll toss some more of it in here for you~,] I say, but not in a tongue a human would understand. I use HnG to communicate with the beast in its language to hopefully get outta this with all of my limbs.

The creature looked at her inquisitively for a few seconds, before opening its mouth once again. It got closer to her too, so she could finally see what was pissing it off so badly. Stuck in its lower lip, was that hook from her fishing rod, now almost microscopic in comparison to the large creature. As people should know from slight paper cuts, sometimes even the smallest things hurt like hell, and the hook in its mouth was no exception.

I notice the way the hook is stuck in the creature and make a sound of sympathy. [Aaw. Po' baby. Did I get that nasty hook stuck in you? I'm sorry. Lemme get that out for you.] I swim closer, keeping my guard up as this is a wild animal, and reach out to remove the hook as gently as possible.

The fish-dragon glared as she spoke in such an endearing tone; it wasn't doing anything for its own pride. Yet it let her do what she did, finally giving a deep, beast-like sigh as the hook came out of its lip. It was still bleeding a little, but the main source of pain was gone. It then motioned for her to grab onto a fin or something, as it was readying itself to leap back above the water for its promised treat..

I use the little healing abilities I have to heal the wound before tilting my head in confusion. [Ah...] I swim over to one of its fins and grab onto it.

As the creature swims upward, it gains speed upon hitting the surface, seeming to float in the air just long enough for Sadira to hop off, and then diving back into the water. After a few seconds its head comes back out, mouth closed and eyes looking cautiously at Sadira..

Upon hitting the air, I revert back to my human form and land next to my stuff on the shore. I stretch my legs and toss my fishing pole down before turning back to the beast. [Ah...I did say I'd give you somethin din I?] I bend down, grabbing the bait box, and toss some of the contents out towards the creature.
