Getting Situated

His appointment was effective immediately. Lucius never really expected to win the elections, given how much he actually did for the guild, but.. surprises do happen he supposed. The silver key he was handed fit perfectly into the door, and as he opened it he was amazed at the size and detail of the office; many times larger than his own dorm room in the Creed. He moved to the chair in the center of the room, liking how comfortable it was, fiddling through the desk, looking at all the contraptions that it had.. Suddenly a woman came through the door that he'd left open.

"Mr Blackthorn, what would you like for breakfast?"

He looked at her, a little baffled at the question.

"Uh, nothing for now, that's fine.. I can make it myself."

"Very well Mr Blackthorn."

She walked back out the door. So now Lucius even got maidservants? That wasn't stated in the contract.. Well, perhaps he would get used to them over time. Or, on second thought, that would only make him spoiled. He was too used to doing everything on his own anyway. Not at all used to being in seats of power. Except back in the chaos, but even then--

"Mr Blackthorn, your dry-cleaning is done and in your bedroom."

Another maidservant. Wait, his what?

"Dry.. cleaning? When did you take my clothes?"

"It's standard procedure, Mr Blackthorn."

"A-ah.. just.. warn me next time then at least."

"Absolutely, Mr Blackthorn."

She walked out just as the other did. This was starting to become a pain. All Lucius wanted was to get adjusted to his new seat of power in peace and quiet, not get bombarded with all the extra 'services' like some fat politician. He really, really didn't want to become that type of person. He got up from the chair and noticed a rack for weapons on the back wall, including one for a sword in dead center. Removing Umbra from his belt, he decided it would be a nice place for her to go, so--

"Mr Blackthorn, your debriefing meeting with the Intelligence bureau is in two hours, and then you have reservations fo dinner at 5:30 in the grand hall.

"W-w-what??"

"Standard procedure for all incoming guild leaders, Mr Blackthorn."

"Enough standard procedure already, just let me handle things my own way. I don't need these special services, these constant updates, or anything like what you're all giving me. Tell me what's necessary for me as the Creed Leader to know, nothing more. And if I hear Mr Blackthorn one more time... Please, just call me Lucius."

The maidservant looked very flustered by all of this.

"Y-yes, Mr Bl-- Lucius! I'm so sorry to have bothered you in any way!"

He sighed, looking at the maidservant bowing to him in earnest.

"Listen, give me a debriefing every morning, but please cut the formalities. And cancel all the special services you guys normally do for people here. I'd prefer to handle it on my own."

"Understood, Lucius."

With that, she walked out as well, no doubt to go to wherever the maidservants congregated and tell them about the changes to what they do on a daily basis. Perhaps things were going to get a bit hectic as Guild Leader afterall...

A knock on the door would be heard. It was the General coming to ask something as well as meet this Lucius his election competition that had won.

"Yes, come in.."

He really hoped to God it wasn't another maidservant. He really just needed time to get adjusted, that was all.

the General would open the door with one hand and look around. His old stuff was here from when he had tried to live here and use it at a home. There was nothing left really in the same spot signifying Lucius or someone else must have moved it. He would walk for Lucius and summon from his real hologram system a small wooden chair with wheels that swiveled. He would then take a seat and summon forth a small glass of water.

"You must be Lucius" the General would say.

(Does this mean Lucius and Creed memeber can only do ranking exams now?)

Good, not another servant. Though he'd never seen this guy before in his life. Clearly a Creed member, but not one he was too familiar with.

"Word must spread fast. You are?"

((No, ranking rules still apply as they always have))

"I am the General, Sentinel of the Shrewish nation of Kiez. I have come to see if I can be of any assistance to the Guild in ways other than ranking the underlings and potential fighters." He would say as his scanners would try and indicate the approximent rank and energy level of Lucius.

(I will fix relations between us Skye *Shakes fist*)

"Ah, one of my running opponents.."

His voice trailed off, in thought. He never really did get to know those he was running against, just sort of half-hearted effort on his part. He did think he had something though, but it wasn't quite.. ready yet.

"Nothing at the moment. Someday soon, within this term.. we'll have more options for those who wish to help in a greater way."

He began to wonder which ring General would be most be fitting for. Perhaps he'd just wait and see..

the General would take a small card from his pocket that had two button on it as well as a stripe. He would place this on the desk beside a stack of paper and a name tag before standing up.

"If you ever need assistance use that card to call me. Just place your finger on the small glowing square. I bid you farewell for now" he said checking the time in his head before holding out his hand to shake Lucuis's.

He examined it, before putting it on a cardholder on his desk, then reaching to shake General's hand back.

"Adieu."

After shaking Lucius's hand the General would stand up and turn away towards the door. After taking a sip of the water he had summoned he would make the glass turn to data and walk out the door. After that he headed back towards the Kiez Provence.
