Kumi politely requests to rank

Kumi would nervously walk down the hallways, peaking silently into the different rooms, until she came across what appeared to be a ranking room. She walked quietly inside, and looked around anxiously. She hadnt fought in a while, and thought it about time to test her skills.

Skye would waltz into the next room slowly, head leaned forward and hand in his hair. He was really rather bummed that no one showed up to his potential mass ranking opportunity, and it showed in his dark gaze and lack of a grin of any sort. Though, his eyes lit up slightly, a tinge of yellow, as he saw this girl in the next room..

"Looks like you're in luck, chick. I'm bored and haven't had my daily dose of violence."

"Daily...dose...of violence?" Kumi would repeat it shakily. Such words terrified her. She would shiver noticably, as she fought the urge to back herself into a safe corner of the room. Instead she stood there, just barely holding her ground. She eyed him nervously as she awaited either instructions or... whatever.

"Aw hell.."

He facepalmed as he saw the girl practically melt in front of him, just by looking at her. This was no good; Skye could never get anything enjoyable out of this one if she were this delicate.. He sighed and leaned back on the opposite wall.

"Guess not then.. At least tell me your name, girlie?"

Kumi would approach, cautiously of course, but at least she was calming down enough to move at all. "My name's Kumi... Im sorry, you just...scared me before. But I would like a ranking, if you would be so kind..." She thought to herself, "And please be gentle.."

He sighed. So he wouldn't get to show off his physical might, but then again this was the Academy we were talking about. Crossing his arms, he looked down at her with dark golden eyes. The room around them began to shift in its image, almost rippling loose.

"Alright.. For this exam.... Find me."

In that instant Skye vanished, the room now looking like a vast, grassy field, with grass taller than even Skye's height.

"Oh yeah, do mind that there are still walls here..."

His voice seemed omnipresent around her now..

Kumi would stare wide-eyed as the room shifted into a large grassy field. As she reoriented herself, shed begin to process her task.

She would swing her arms around her, side to side. Slowly at first, then gaining speed until it looked as though she was nearly spinning. She would channel the wind around her outwords, spreading out in a strong burst across the tall grass in the field, hoping to cut it down to size a bit.

As the grass around her was cut down, the long remnants of grass seemed to replant themselves; somewhat shorter now, but this time they attempted to wrap around her ankles, pinning her in place.

She didnt really mind being held in place...it didnt effect her much. She would sigh slightly, biting her lip, and decide to try something else. Instead of cutting down all the grass to find Skye, she would just...

Kumi would take a deep breath, lift her arms slightly, and throw them in front of her. From her hands would form a large sphere of water, that then expanded into a large surge of water washing over the field. It would be enough water to be ankle deep. She hoped the force of the water would flatten out enough of the grass so that Skye couldnt hide as easily.

A splash would be seen from across the chamber as a still invisible Skye raced to the ceiling. Clinging there with pads on his feet, he would intensify the sunlight to quickly evaporate the water, making pockets of mist in the large chamber..

She scanned the room, wondering if she flushed him out. She saw a splash across the chamber, but she didnt see Skye. She exhaled, paused for a brief second, then made the mist into millions of really tiny ice needles and launched them in every direction around the room. Perhaps this way would be harder to run...

"She's better than I thought.."

Skye would be forced to emit a large amount of heat from around him, melting the water needles and having the water splash onto him. He figured that this setting was fine enough, and the surroundings of the Ranking Chamber began to shift..

They were now in a place very much like the Pit; mountainous with a large pool of magma dead center in the place, not to mention damned hot. Skye wouldn't be in his reative position anymore, it was up to her to find him again..

As the water splashed on him, it would instantly seep down through his clothes and freeze, forcing direct cold against his skin that was likely to at least be cold enough to give him a good shock, if not a bit more superficial damage. ((Providing you dont naturally have the body heat to overcome that..And if you do, just ignore)).

As the room shifted, she breathed a little heavier as she felt how ridiculously hot it was in there. She didnt much like really hot places... they made her dizzy afterwhile. Shed be at a disadvantage here if she took too long.

She would bend down slowly, squatting over the hot surface of the ground. She placed a hand on the ground and held it there until her hand burned. She then stood up, watching the ground, as ice spread under the surface, sticking up here and there. She sighed as it didnt go very far, due to her hand now being burned and the extreme temperatures making ice difficult. She opted to use something other than ice, as it was too difficult to use in these conditions for long. Shed cover her burnt hand in ice so it didnt hurt. This she could manage, if nothing else.

Instead, she tapped her toe on the ground, thinking. She then, wiggling her fingers, got a bunch of the really hot air to start spinning, creating a large cyclone of overheated air. The cyclone would dash about randomly. Anything near it would be sucked inside or trampled. Plus, the sound it cause was rather deafening...

The re-frozen ice in his face did sting quite a bit, and was getting irritating, but the heat of where he was quickly soothed it. Skye would manifest a few airborne whirlwinds, showing green, to attempt and send the cyclone off its course or even unravel it.


To be honest, he was starting to enjoy this game between elementalists.

Assuming his whirlwinds were smaller than hers, hers would suck up his as they came in contact, only making her cyclone bigger and more powerful. It was soon getting to be hard to control just based on its sheer size. ((Oh, and if sucking up other whirlwinds isnt feasible due to power differences, please excuse my assumptions and promptly ignore.))

The cyclone, which by now had been around a few times, would begin to suck up the magma from around them, spewing it out the top and blazing fire from the sides. ((Remember, Kumi's only controlling the wind; she cant control the fire aka magma. Thats why its spilling all over the place and not contained within the cyclone.))

It wasn't really what Skye intended, but he could see the cyclone getting more shaky as she lost control. He added more whirlwinds to it until it grew to that point - perhaps another test of some sort.

To ward off the magma that might fly his way, Skye utilized his screen shield, invisible unless looked at closely, to ward off the searing hot molten rock.

She exhaled hard, and disipated the cyclone.The air still churned about though, it just didnt take any form. Kumi hung her head for a minute, trying to think, as her head started to pound forcefully from the heat.

She didnt like to have to do this, but she couldnt think of another way to accomplish her task. She would reach down, hand hovering over the ground, and tries to form as much water as possible on the ground. The water that she does manage to create is so super-cooled, that as the magma evaporates it, it turns to tiny ice crystals. The wind would thrash and throw the ice crystals in ever direction. Theyd sting like hell if they hit, being so tiny and all. The wind would also keep the water moving, making it stay solid alittle better.

Kumi would sit-fall down in the water, needing the cool liquid to cool her off in the overly heated environment, She panted heavily; her body shaking.

The crystals would melt when they got within 10 feet of wherever Skye was, and he frowned, knowing that the environment was starting to get to her.

"Might wanna learn how to do hot places, gal."

The environment changed yet again, this time to a rugged and misty mountain region, with some small grass and mostly filled with just grey rock. The fog was pretty thick here, enough to make a thick screen that hindered visibility.

As the environment changed again, Kumi would stand there for a minute, letting the cool mist hit her face. It was rather calming really...and calm was normally enough to let her continue until her task was accomplished. She held out a hand, and the mist turned to rain. She then scanned around again, searching for spots in which she thought probable for Skye to be in. She whipped the wind outwords, shooting heavy raindrops in multiple directions.

Skye would begin to collect the raindrops in his hands, subtly at first so as not to give himself away, but with each glob of water the floating orb he built only got bigger...

She would notice when her raindrops would begin to mass themselves together. But she let him built it up a bit longer. Once the orb of raindrops was about the size of a basketball, she would suddenly freeze it. The sudden freezing caused it to shatter into a million pieces, and implant themselves in the closest thing to them. Which would be Skye. The ice would then proceed to spread, hoping to encase him in some layer of ice since she had figured out he didnt much like her ice~.

As she breached his control over the water orb he scowled, immediately catching the pieces of ice in his hand, which had also formed a layer of water around it. The water glove would freeze, but it wouldn't be anything hazardous; in a sudden flash of pale blue Skye became fully visible, with stiff, icy blue hair and white eyes. His Ice elemental appearance.

"Passed the first test, let's see how your combat skills are.."

The ice in his hand shattered, falling in bits of crystal dust to the floor.

Kumis eyes would stare widely in...almost shock... as Skye appeared. And he looked funny to her... although she couldnt pinpoint why. ((Jack Frost xD))

"Combat...skills...?"

She would manage to say with difficulty. It reminded her of this man's apparent need for violence as witnessed when she first laid eyes on him in this.... whatever this place was anymore. Shed try and block that all from her mind. Although she was well aware she hadnt actually fought... physically... since she used to fight... oh what was his name...

"Just using elements, nothing that'll scare your panties off.."

He said this as fog began to twist around him, the vapor freezing and forming small little pellets of ice.

The wind picked up around Kumi as she watched the vapor freeze around Skye. In the next moment, slashing winds would head directly for Skye, aiming to slice him up a bit.
