Misplaced Peace

Umbra had heard rumors about the place, but she hadn't yet gotten the chance to venture to the newly discovered Still Lake. It was always said to be a desolate place, one of chills and hauntedness. Though that was alright with her; Umbra was perfectly used to such places. She lithely removed her shoes and stockings, planting a foot into the icy cold water. What would make anyone else reel back in cold shock, she relished; the cold, still water in the haze quickly became her haven..

"Peace at last.."

The water ripples silently as the young girl put her foot into the water. A large black... catfish-looking-thing jumped out of the water in the distance, but only its shadow was barely visiable.

Theodora would approch the girl, in her younger form, and lay a gentle hand on the girls shoulder. She hoped she didnt startle her, but it was likely, since Theo moved so quietly. If the girl turned around to face Theo, she would smile gently at her.

"Ah.."

She was alarmed only for a split second, but faced the smiling girl standing next to her with eyes of curiosity, as always. A tad puzzled at who she was or why she was here, Umbra began to collect herself in that sitting position. She didn't really want to get up; the water felt nice on her feet.

Theo looked over at her feet in the water, and the water began to form droplets above the surface. As the droplets grew in number, they would fall and hit the top of the water, and flash several different colors. The ripples from the water droplets produced a sound, and it revirbirated off the surface of the water. It was like a bright flashy musical show for the girl, a rare present from Theodora.
