We've been getting a good amount of questions regarding the move and the time skip that the move will created for all characters. So here are a few general questions, along with their answers, and of course feel free to post any more concerns you have here.

Q: What abilities or weapons will we be able to add or expand on?

Zanpakutos, swords with unique abilities designed for the slaying of evil souls, is a character aspect ripped straight from the anime Bleach. Each sword has a powerful spirit attached to it, and it actually serves as the primary trainer for the wielder of the Zanpakuto, who's usually referred to as a Shinigami. Every Zanpakuto is unique - none of them have the same spirit attached to it, and consequentially, no two swords have the same ability. In their sealed state, Zanpakutos look and act just like normal Katanas of various sizes; the only thing that sets them apart from standard steel swords is that they're nearly impossible to break.

Shikai:
As the Shinigami gets more experienced with the Zanpakuto, they become able to unleash the sword's Shikai state, or first release. This comes not only from use with the Zanpakuto, but also with deep communication between its spirit and yourself. A Shikai ability is basic, usually changing the blade's shape in some way and holding an array of different abilities. These abilities should give the wielder an advantage when fighting others, but not to the point of overkill.
(Minimum 1 battle thread and 1 training thread using Zanpakuto before shikai, must be rank 6 or higher)

Bankai:
Bankai only comes to Shinigami who truely live with and for their Zanpakuto, taking extra care to communicate and battle efficiently both in released and Shikai states. Bankai is usually a transformation of the blade and sometimes the wielder's costume as well, and are usually massive compared to their first release, but exceptions have been made. The Bankai ability must run off of a similar battle strategy than the Shikai, or it can be a direct opposite of a strategy but similar in some way. There's plenty of creative freedom to go around with this.
(Minimum 1 month of attaining Shikai, active in battle threads and training threads, must be rank 3 or higher)

There are also the arts of Kido that a Shinigami can utilize for themselves. Both Binding, Destructive and Healing arts are taught directly to Shinigami by members of the Order. The level of complexity of a spell goes up with its number, single digits being the easiest and 90s numbers being the most difficult.
