Miles's day off

*At the beach Miles would have taken a day off from combat to relax and flew above on darking in dragon form and would cannonball into the water. He would once surfaced faced darkling and say* "no! not again. remeber last time?" *as the darkling would cannonball as the imp form then swim around bored*


*Miles would just float on his back hoping that Linnea would accept his invitation since they haven't seen each other in a while*

-|A single EMP charge propelled itself into the somewhat shallow shores of the beach, directly next to Miles. It seemed like a harmless little canister no bigger than an AAA battery but looks can be deceiving. Since, the component created a very brief but intense electromagnetic field that quickly induced very high voltages once the charge tapped the bottom of the sand. The component was strong enough to cause electrical breakdown voltages to be exceeded.

So in seconds the once peaceful lake is now being ravaged by hundreds of volts of electricity that Miles had no prior knowledge of. Effectively dealing a surprise attack that would not let anyone escape unscathed.|-

"Mind if I join?"

-|Shen appeared slowly from the edge of the EMP, roughly 25 meter radius as he announced his presence to electrocuting Miles.|-

*his osmosis skin and darkling would alert Miles of the mysterious person they would not trust and for once their overprotective nature would pay off as Miles would take alert of him and fly up via air manipulation to avoid the shock acting at first as if it was just his partners being overprotective but then see the seriousness in the matter and immediately rejoin with his osmosis skin while the darkling took dragon form flying above*

"whats the meaning of this?" *Miles would say holding back attacks til he was sure he was an enemy*

-|As soon as Miles bolted towards the sky, a large spear of black sand was piercing through the sky at an alarming rate. Most likely meeting him in that destination to pierce his body once he stopped to utter his few words. Just as precaution the the main spear of black sand created a series of smaller spikes that ruptured from the main body, creating a twisted tree of black sand ready to pierce Miles. Of course because Miles was too busy talking it would be extremely difficult for him to dodge all of the branches of lethal sand.|-

*Miles would still speak but since his osmosis skin and darkling served as several other pairs of eyes they alerted him in time to dodge the strikes by airdashing backwards out of the range of the attack, Miles now knew whoever this was meant business and he would split into 5 clones plus his original self sending all charging as well as himself and all clones would look exactly like Miles so telling which was the original would be trouble.*

*Darkling would turn to the blade gauntlet form on one of the miles who was a clone but for all this shen knew was that it could be either a clone or the original and the blade gauntlet would launch a volley of blade shots towards shen*

*Miles and his clones would do their separate attacks, one of the clones would shape a mechanical fist and swing a powerful right hook at the opponent, 2 others as well as Miles would shape a missile launcher on each hand armed and ready but wouldn't fire, the last two would shape saw tooth katana's with shards of broken glass on them making the saw tooth katanas even more vicious also sticking on stnadby*

-|By the time Miles noticed it would already be too late, the black sand covered the entire beach, after all how else would the giant monolith of sand be black, since the sand itself contained unique compounds of his own fragments he asked Gig to create back at the lab. These fragments were capable of cutting and piercing through any reinforced metal or alloy that seemed unbreakable and impenetrable and in turn gave it incredible denseness. But as one of the "Miles" dared to attack him the sand from beneath the clone shot up and effectively defended against the hit with a sturdy wall, effectively blocking the arrows as well. The person who attacked would escape unscathed, the wall that stopped "Miles" feeble punch was brutally shredded through as hundreds of branching spikes exploded wall. And in the event this "Miles" was the clone, he would just disappear; however, if it wasn't Miles himself would have his arm ripped from inside out considering how the spikes branched from one another, as if they were branches from an ominous tree. The other "Miles" were dealt with swiftly, considering they were now on Shen's terms.

Large amounts of sand exploded into the air high above and then created a enormous dome that enclosed both Shen and Miles, making escape nearly impossible. Even the sun's warm rays were erased as darkness consumed Miles and Shen whole. The dome would only move according to Shen's will or if an outside source was strong enough to break through, but that would only be another fruitless endeavor since the wall itself was self repairing and it's resources were unlimited at this point. Shen's dome could only be destroyed by a select few, Rozalyn, Gig, Law, or another that was able to nullify an area of Shen's magnetism- so the dome would lose from in a specific section to allow a small window of escape before Shen's ability starts again.

Shen then activated his MRI eyes, allowing him to see effectively without any source of light and will do so even if light was present. Now with his MRI eyes activated Shen could clearly see which was a clone and which was not, but Miles would only be left in the dark.|-

"Have you prayed tonight?"

-|Shen's cold and melodic voice echoed from the smooth walls, bouncing the simple question around infinitely.|-

*The clone that was struck would be massacred but not without purpose as some of the tar that came into contact with the black sand would retract back to Miles. Miles then activated his mimic aura as the area around him lit ablaze lighting the area and his eyes shaped differently, his other clones staying near Miles would also have these effects as well*

*The darkling being half eclipse probably could see in the dark and would turn to shade form and phase through the ground and being in shade form he was unable to be hurt by normal elements and physical attacks yet he himself was unable to harm others in which the shade flew off*

*Miles then held out keeping alert and on defensive lighting the area with his aura of flame*

(two questions does the magnetic sand stuff have a different temperature than the air around? and is there still a bit of earth within the dome besides the sand stuff?)

((Well if you pay attention to science you would know black absorbs light so the atmosphere in the dome as well as the dome itself and the earth is the sand itself.))

-|The sand beneath all the "Miles" would suddenly erupt into massive chasm along with stalactites made from sand above from above, large enough to skewer everything and anything around the clones with little effort, to either force them into the chasm or spitting them in two. Once the stalactites fell it would only be absorbed back into the sand. All the while hundreds of arms ruptured from around the chasm to grab the "Miles" to leave any chance of any of them being unscathed quite difficult for anyone, unless Miles can stop time leaving unscathed or untouched by the immediate dropping stalactites or the hundreds of hands erupting from the chasms.|-

Suddenly, an ominous wind swept across the area, creating a mighty sandstorm. This storm, along with the ominous gust, cleansed the field of its arms and brought down the strudy chasm, which would become more sand for the storm. The vision of the two combatants was obscured, and the sandstorm continued on its designated path free from any control.

*Miles would take this chance and flee the opposite way shen was in sending out pieces of tar to meld through the sand yet if it were to hit anything solid alert Miles of it's location acting as a makeshift radar. Miles also placed a hardened skin armor over him as thick leather to protect himself from the harsh sandstorm incase it was fast enough to harm*

-|Unfortunately the strange wind never made it inside the dome Shen constructed, it's infrastructure was sturdy enough to withstand the crushing pressure of the depths of the ocean. Thus, the arms from the walls and the mouth of the chasm were not affected in anyway along with the dropping stalactites that rained from the ceiling of the dome. The arms quickly grabbed Miles, as he tried his desperate escape, into the chasm as dozens of stalactites would spear into his body, depending on the durability of his armor he would be skewered in seconds. The chasm itself would slowly close and the arms that once tossed Miles into it's mouth disappeared within the sand. The sight resembled a mouth eating large amounts of ice cream cones that allowed their pointy ends to protrude from the gaping mouth. Shen, however, stood silently as he watched the man being crushed among the dozens of falling sand. But he took notice of the wind that threatened to destroy his dome and took immediate precautions against such a danger.|-

((Bump))

A brilliant flash of pale yellow light erupted around Miles, shattering both the stalactites and the gaping maw that attempted to chew him. A figure could be seen around him; what appeared to be a helmeted knight in solid red armor, pulsing with energy of its own. Miles would be lifted straight out of the chasm at blinding speeds. The Paladin sent a bolt of red energy to the ground on which they would land, as it formed a crystalline platform that was sure to hold even to strongest of forces against it.

The man faced the antagonist, slitted helmet revealing none of his face. He brought forth a gigantic red and yellow shield, propping it in front of both him and Miles. It pulsed and hummed with deep, bass-like power. He then addressed Shen, in a gruff, deepened voice.

"State your business with this man."

*Miles would look at the man who saved him and knowing he could not take shen on at his power he would look at the paladin*

"thank you i owe you my life. now i'm sure i will just get in your way. come by my place if you ever need a favor it's the least i can do"

*miles would retreat as fast as he could fly via air manipulation, keeping full aware of his surroundings incase he was in danger again*

((Darn, sorry Miles, I meant to come, but I had to be somewhere else...))

"Tch... Annoying little prick trying to interfere with my prey are you..."

-|Shen let out a deep sigh as he scratched his head while Miles flew away.|-

"Interruption after interruption... Can't a man kill another man in peace? Well what was supposed to be my prey disappeared I lost all interest. I seriously need to find a more quite place next time..."

-|As Shen said that last word, the large amounts of sand that once was the dome gathered around him and soon after it fell to the floor after circling him a few times. With that Shen was gone and nowhere to be seen, most likely trying to find another prey to replace Miles.|-

The man sighed, letting the coward get away. In a brief flicker of orange light the paladin was gone as well. Just like that, the battlefield was clear.
