The hunt is on.

#~*Desdemona entered the ancient cemetery, looking around with a passive face. She had wanted a pokemon for a while now... and seeing as the cemetery was where she dealt best, she decided it would be the best place to start. Armed with 12 newly bought pokeballs, she cautiously moved around, eyes keen for any movement.*~#

A Murkrow would be watching her from atop a gravestone, constantly smiling, eyes glowing red...

#~*Desdemona's eye twitched, as she slowly turned her head to stare intently at the Murkrow. She moved a hand to her waist where a pack of pokeballs remained, before idly remembering she had to weaken the pokemon first. Oh dearie, dearie me...
She stood there for a second, just staring at the crepy thing before cautiously swirling a finger in the air, summoning a wee bit of ghostly energy. She wasn't sure how best to attack... but she decided to start small. She fired a small direct amount of the glow-y energy at the Murkrow, wondering what would happen..*~#

The Murkrow took to the sky, avoiding the energy coming its way. Its glowing red eyes fixated upon Desdemona and it flew down at her quickly to drill peck her head.

#~*Desdemona let out a hushed gasp, as she rapidly dodged to the side. Somewhere, deep inside of her, she couldn't believe she was battling... a bird. A rather cross look taking over her expression, she fired a rapid blast of dark energy at the murkrow, a lot more powerful this time. "Oh, you're so mine..."*~#

Murkrow having missed its Drill Peck was recovering from recoil on the ground, so the dark energy did hit. Though it was a Dark type itself, so the resulting damage was not very effective. Still sizable though. It quickly turned around, launching a Pursuit towards Desdemona.

#~*Desdemona, caught off guard by the Murkrow's rapid recovery, was hit on her left side, not having been able to move fast enough. Cringing slightly, she was in pain, but was still good to attack. The stone crescent moons on her gloves began to glow, as the same swirly, glow-y energy from before started to materialize in one hand. She fired this blast at the Murkrow, as the most powerful attack she had dared fire as of yet.*~#

Bump Bump :3

It hit the Murkrow directly, and it landed several feet from Desdemona in pretty bad shape. It was near fainting.

~*Desdemona bit her lip, feeling sorry for the Murkrow she had hurt, but she couldn't stop now. She swiftly pulled out a pokeball and threw it at the Murkrow, hoping for the best.*~

It was easily caught, the pokebal making a 'ding' and returning to Desdemona with the Mukrow inside.

~*Desdemona paused for a moment, looking at the pokeball as the ghost of a grin spread across her face. A slight breeze blew through the air, as she pocketed the pokeball and walked off, satisfied with her first pokemon.*~
