Requesting a Training Session

"Hmm..."

As the room turned black, a feint purple glow could be seen on the floor, the essence of Cecil's magic. In an instant, several needles of purest darkness rose from the ground to the ceiling, tearing apart the rocks into tiny pebbles, and also aimed to hit Hitomi in various places. The needles were only separated by about 2 centimeters' radius each, so evading them would be nearly impossible.

These needles of darkness were, in essence, energy in the form of anti-matter, and as such, Hitomi's past training with the sages allowed her to sense this far before the attack would reach her. This would be good, for she needed a moment to prepare for her defense. Quickly extendng her palm to the shattered rock that Cecil had destroyed only moments before, the tiny pebbles congregating in a swirlig formation around her palm. She knew time was of the essence.
Superheating the pebbles, they almost instantaneously turned to multiple fragments of glass. These fragments were manipulated by an energy Hitomi placed around each sliver. It was of an alchemedic nature, a reversing energy that would be enough to change the make up of the shadows to be that of light. The light would be easily refracted off the surface of the glass, for the backs of each sliver had been dulled and left deliberately rugged, while the outside had been polished like a mirror. Moving each piece at will, Hitomi managed to avoid the worst of the attack, only taking a few hits as she felt her energy depleting. It was a curious thing, to not have to worry that all of your energy would be depleted after one spell. Worriedly, she wondered what would happen to her now that she had been hit by five of those needles of darkness.
She swooped away from Cecil, opting for long range attacks like him. She let her glass fragments fly forth, still coated in that same energy. Good thing none of the edges were too pointy as the fragments flew towards Cecil at high speeds.

He pointed his wand in their direction, unleashing a cyclone with bits of purple lightning in their direction. This would slow them down enough for them to fall to the ground before hitting him.

"Alchemy..?"

He'd heard about ways to use this art, but none involved a way to do so without use of a circle and a mini-ritual... so he wondered eagerly how this girl was so easily able to do so.

The energy would swirl around the shards of fallen glass for a moment, before dimming. "I suppose you could call it that." Hitomi said softly. The scales over her body rippled for a moment, before they reverted back to being her skin. The energy from her previous attack gathered in her palm, a swirling mass of energy. Seeing as he didn't launch a counter attack, she hesitated, uncertain whether or not to continue.

Seeing her hesitate, he held his ground, planting his feet just so, nodding and slightly smiling for her to go for it. His wand glowed a silvery-violet hue, holding it tightly in his hand, waiting to act on her attack, whatever it may be...

The mass of golden energy continued to glow in her palm, swirling with a greater intensity. Morphing her bone-covered arm to be normal once more, she braced herself wide a wide stance, both hands thrust out in front of her as the attack swirled, tendrils snapping away from the main sphere. It took quite a bit to charge, but after about a minute, she slid a foot back and pushed the mass of energy away from herself. Instantly, the sphere formed itself into a sort of beam of alchemical energy, designed intricately to undo whatever energy it came in contact with, with deadly aim. This was almost assured unless the defensive energy was seven or more times greater then the beam itself, at which point the beam would implode, becoming vampirific in nature and stealing most of the user's remaining chakra... Had to keep things fair, right?

As the minute passed Cecil knew something huge was coming. He quickly dispersed the energy from his wand, forming and weaving an intricate pattern of violet threads in front of him, each humming their own pitch with magic. It took about as long as Hitomi's blast did to be set up, and when it was finished the entire weaving pulsed with power.

Cecil stood in front of the weaving so he could see just what this ball could do first, and when he tried to defend it with his own magics they failed. So he quickly dodged with the aid of wind at his feet, allowing it to hit his large weaving, which was designed to cut the orb to shreds instead of dissipating it, allowing the pieces to form mini-orbs on the ground from its remains. He didn't know if it would quite work that way though...

The beam met the web, and would seem to cause an explosion of sparks as the warring energies had at each other. The beam would start to eat through the energy that tried to divide it, making such an attempt pointless. Though Cecil was a very good spell caster, his defense would only be about three of four times as powerful as the beam, and so, it would not be enough to completely stop it, even though it was a bit slower to consume the energy that made up the web than that it had been when it ate up the energy from Cecil's hurried attacking spells.
Hitomi herself watched as Cecil darted away, and so she slowly stopped feeding energy to the beam, allowing the golden energy to fade away. Panting, she clutched both sides of her head as she fell to her knees, groaning quietly. It felt as if her head were going to explode... The overuse of magic was affecting her now, and she started to shake.

His threads dissipated too as he ignored everything else but Hitomi for the moment. He was in trouble somehow, he just had to get to her and figure out what it was. Squatting to meet with her on the ground, he took her head in his arm and tried t comfort whatever was ailing her, speaking softly..

"What happened just now..?"

Hitomi's voice trembled, as did she. "I... I don't know..." She closed her eyes and hugged herself tightly, never having been one who had been in pain of any sort... Ever. She just didn't know how to deal with this awful feeling. She had hardly even gotten a scrape, and even then it was only once.

He allowed a violet twist of energy to surround her, feeling like a warm breeze to her, still trying to analyze the situation... He honestly didn't know what to do from here..

"Shall I take you to an infirmary..?"

She shuddered despite the warmth of the breeze. "Please..." She whispered, honestly scared. She didn't know what was wrong... In fact, she didn't think she should have been able to perform such an attack as what she had just done. She thought back to when the sages had made her push her limits on what magic she possessed... Never had anything been this bad. Maybe the slightest headache once and a while, but nothing like this...

"Alright, hold tight.."

He lifted her; she was surprisingly light in his weak, mage-like arms. He knew that the nearest infirmary was in Kiez, but they would probably be denied entry there.. or so he figured, so he decided to risk going all the way to the Sunlight, where Hitomi was from. It would take several hours, but it was the best shot they had. He put up a violet barrier around her, to serve as both protection from outside things and as comfort, hopefully..
