Back to Basics

I sit on the edge of the mesa, looking down, but seeing nothing. I had flown up here earlier just to sorta sightsee. Unfortunately, this is exactly the sort of place that would inspire me to think and once I started, I couldn't stop. Eventually, my thoughts shifted to my last few battles (few being an understatement) and how I handled them. My eyes widened in shock as it dawned on me how much I relied on Bennu-sama's chakra and her abilities, not my own. I couldn't remember the last time I fought without using dimensional energy not including the Pandora's gift boxes. It seemed whenever I couldn't think my way out of a situation, I just warped the problem away and called it a day. I somehow switched from this train of thought onto my opponents. I could only recall having a real fight with someone on my rank once or twice. Besides those 2, everyone else had always been weaker which would explain my recent dislike in crossing blades. I had never really had a challenge and the last time I actually had fun fighting was when I was still at a genin level. I continued to wander around the mesa thinking these things over which led me to where I am now. I growl lowly at the thought of how things have turned out. Instead of working with what I had, I just kept learning more unnecessary things and relying on skill which I didn't use properly anyways. I dig my claws into the rock angrily. The only way to solve this dilemma is to do what I've always avoided and fight someone my own rank and quite possibly stronger than myself. Yet, while I think this, I make no move to get up and search out such an opponent. I huff and rest my head on my hands, ears twitching as the wind howls. "Who am I kidding? I can do all the soul searching I want. No way I'm gonna actively do it." With that, I fall back and look up at the sky, my thoughts finally quieting at the admission leaving only the sound of the wind passing by.

A bright light would be streaking across the sky behind Sadi as it did it grew closer to her location. The glow would eventually take the shape of a small fighter craft the craft would land and then vanish leaving the General behind. After he would summon a seat and sit down
