Cassius tries out a Zanpakuto.

'Why the hell not.'

*he thought as he walked into the Zanpakuto reception. He wanted to hone his abilities and in order for him to do so, he would have to explore right? Standing at the front reception area, he looked around for a member to help him*

"Zanpakuto reception.. Is it?"

An Order member would be waiting at the desk of the reception chambers. His job seemed to be quite boring these days...

*quietly he approached the desk*

"Is this...where I would obtain a Zanpacktoo?"

*he tried his hardest to say the last word without his accent...in fact he tried to say everything in that sentence without his accent. But the last word wasn't even English.....how was he even supposed to say it if he's suddenly learning a new language...again? He blushed and tried again*

"A...Zanpakutou."

*close enough.*

His smile was thankfully hidden by the unnatural darkness his hood gave.

"Yeah, this is the place. Right this way please."

He tried to give this guy as little chance to speak as possible, perhaps for both of their sakes.

*he didn't say anything but follow the Order member quietly, grateful that he didn't have to speak anymore*

He led them to a corridor next to the reception area, inviting him to sit on one of the cushions on the floor, while he did the same in front of him.

"The first step of unlocking your Shinigami's abilities is to find your Reiatsu.. or spirit energy. This is of a different form than the energy you use, and you'll need to suppress it as you build the Reiatsu."

*he sat on the cushion uncomfortably. He wasn't used to sitting like this. They had something called chairs where he came from. Either way, Cassius nodded in respect, but asked a question*

"Does 'tis mean that...I have to..leave what I know now? I have to..."

*he pondered the word before saying it....ah. He remembered*

"replace my energy that I started with with your energy you will be teaching me?"

"No, not at all.. it just needs to be suppressed for now to allow the Reiatsu to grow. Now, meditate, and embrace it..."

He would begin to flow some of his own Reiatsu around Cassius's head so that he knew what it would feel like.

*the feeling of Luce di Lune fell and he tried to wrap it in a little ball in his chest. Suppressing it, Cassius drew in whatever energy was wrapping around it. It was a strange energy. Something raw with no affiliation with a spirit or entity whatsoever. Just something from the self. Seeing it as a little more of personal Reiatsu, Cassius took it in moderation*

He's getting it, slowly.. The Order guy sat back and relaxed, waiting for him to build up enough of his own aura. Eventually he would lapse into unconsciousness, traveling to his Inner World to meet with his Zanpakuto for the first time...

*slowly Cassius slowed his eyes, physically and mentally, letting his mind go blank. Something within him was rising. Something from his chest, growing larger as he thought more and more about what it was. Confused, he stayed silent and didn't move, rather watched what it would do. He could still feel the presence of the Order member, but for some reason, he was relaxing. Slacking off? Maybe relaxing a little more from the day. Were there are lot people who were searching for a Zanpakut--

The thought slipped like ice as his cheek barely missed the corner of the table. He fell into unconsciousness. Cassius felt like he was falling, dropping into an abyss, a slow, dark abyss he couldn't move in. He watched his black hair...or what he thought was his hair, drift upwards in wisps as he fell in a downwards descent.

And then suddenly he was in a familiar place. One of his birth. He recognized it immediately. It was the center square of Venice, Italy. The white structures that used to tower over him, did not this time; Cassius stood on one, horizontally like gravity did not exist. He startled himself, causing his body to jump naturally. His feet left the building and then he panicked a little more, expecting himself to fall to his death. Instead, he floated in the air*

"Am I in...zero gravity?"

*he spoke in his native tongue this time, forgetting that he was bilingual. Looking around, he found the streets empty, void of people. And the beautiful goddess fountain in the middle of the square did not run. With confusion, Cassius floated back down to floor level where he felt safe*

"This is odd. Something isn't right...this square is the busiest of all Venice."

*he looked around, squinting at the doorways and down alleys*

"Even if the town is deserted...there would at least be some people around."
